Clare gardai have been left deeply shocked by the sudden death of a highly respected colleague in Ennis.

Detective Sergeant Michael Mick Moloney was jogging at Lees Road yesterday when he was found in a collapsed state at around lunchtime.
Emergency services were called to the scene but the 51 year old married father of three was pronounced dead a short time later.
Detective Sergeant Moloney originally from County Galway lived in Ennis was one of the lead investigators in a series of high profile cases in the county including the murder trials of Joe Heffernan and Colm Deeley.
