SIPTU members of the Shannon and Dublin Airport Authorities have rejected a management proposal which had aimed to resolve their row over pensions.

The union said 90% of DAA members voted against proposals aimed at resolving the dispute over the Irish Airlines Superannuation Scheme.
This is also shared by workers at Aer Lingus, whose shareholders have agreed to contribute over €190 million as part of efforts to shore up a funding deficit reported to be in the region of €800 million.
The DAA had suggested that it would pump €72 million into the scheme, but this has been rejected and now SIPTU is to seek more negotiations on the matter.
