A Shannon recruiter believes the ‘big reset’ happening across the tech sector is ‘absolutely necessary’.

It comes as the State braces itself for a drop in corporation tax receipts following layoffs in the industry.

Twitter, Stripe and Meta have announced hundreds of job layoffs across Ireland in the past week or so, plunging the future of the growth of the tech sector here into doubt.

It’s understood Government sources are fearing a ‘gradual rot’ in the sector over the medium term amid continued economic concerns across the globe.
