A new ALDI store could soon be on the way for the centre of Shannon town.
The supermarket giant has lodged planning permission to build a 1,700 square metre, single storey shop, on the R471 at Tullyvarraga.
It also includes an application for 109 car parking spaces as well as lighting and landscaping, with a decision due by August.
