Shannon Heritage workers say they’re ‘devastated’ at what they claim is a lack of urgency from an inter-departmental Government group set up to manage the transfer of its sites to the local authority.
The Departments of Housing & Local Government, Public Expenditure, Tourism and the OPW have met just four times in the past six months to examine the issue.

It’s understood staff at the sites have been told they will be closed on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays between January and March.
Shannon Heritage workers spokesperson Dolores Marren has been telling Clare FM’s Josh Prenderville that they still feel in limbo around the process.
