The Shannon Estuary Economic Taskforce is hopeful a High Court decision to uphold planning permission for a Liquified Natural Gas Power Plant in the region, will be the first phase of decades of development.
It comes as a Judicial review stalling plans for a 600 Mega-Watt facility at Ballylongford was dismissed last week.

Currently 40% of Ireland’s electricity is produced by natural gas, with plans for developments in the Shannon Estuary to create up to 10,000 green jobs by 2035.
Taskforce Chair, Barry O’Sullivan says they want to see progress as soon as possible.
