Clare County Council and the government are being urged to come on board for a proposed major Community, Civic and Arts Centre for the people of Shannon.
Shannon Chamber director Kevin Thompstone is a key driver of The Shannon Venue, which aims to create a space to encourage the use of the town centre.

As it stands, Shannon has very little in the way of a town centre and local representatives have regularly made calls for the implementation of a main retail street.
Kevin wants both the local authority and the government to come on board with the idea:
