School Transport Refunds To Be Issued To Clare Families

School transport refunds will be issued to Clare families on a staged basis over the next six weeks to account for time missed during the pandemic.

Responding to a Parliamentary Question from Independent TD Michael McNamara on the matter, the Minister For Education confirmed that Bus Éireann yesterday commenced issuing refunds for the unused portion of pupils tickets during the period of school closures in the 2020/2021 school year.

The refund due for each primary school student is €31, with the figure rising to €108.50 per post primary school student.

From this week, refunds will be automatically be made to the bank card used to make the payment, or by cheque if a card wasn’t used and will be completed by mid-August.
