Clare’s dole queues have risen for the first time since January.

New CSO figures for June show the number of people seeking some form of unemployment benefit in the county stands at 9,708- up 190 from May.
Ennis experienced the biggest jump with 154 extra people on the dole queue in Clare’s County Town, while figures in Kilrush and Tulla rose by 41 and 13 respectively.
The numbers signing on North Clare have fallen for the 5th month in a row but local Fianna Fail Councillor Michael Hillery believes its more to do with emigration
