Regeneron Creates Hundreds Of Jobs At Former Dell Site

The MidWest has received a significant employment boost with news that a pharmaceutical company is to create 300 jobs at the former Dell site in Limerick.

American drug company Regeneron is investing 217 million euro in the project at Raheen, taking over the site of the former Dell factory, which closed in 2009.

If the company secures planning permission to transform the 12 acre site, construction will begin next year employing 600 builders on the project.

Regeneron says it hopes to have its new campus open in 2016 and will be hiring scientists, engineers, technicians and administrative staff.

The company develops drugs to treat some forms of cancer and sight loss.
