It’s hoped the baby eagle will chose to nest in Lough Derg, similar to her parents who made history in 2013, having reared the first chicks to fly from a nest in Ireland in over 100 years.

Project Manager of the Golden Eagle Trust, Dr. Allan Mee expects the eleven-week-old chick to leave the nest in the coming days.
