The trial of former Bosnian Serb army chief Ratko Mladic has opened before a UN court at The Hague.

The 70-year-old faces 11 overall counts for genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity.
He was arrested in north eastern Serbia in May last year after 16 years on the run.
