Public Rally On Future Of Shannon Airport To Be Held In Ennis Today

A planned rally from the Save Our Shannon Airport is taking place in Ennis this afternoon.

It’s the first public march from the group since the onset of the pandemic, as they call on the Government to intervene over the loss of Aer Lingus’ cabin crew base and other air traffic at the facility.

Non-essential international traffic returned to the airport this week as 16 Ryanair routes are now up and running at Shannon, with a 17th to Gran Canaria beginning operation next month.
