Protest Outside Dublin’s Egyptian Embassy

A group of around 20 protesters are holding a demonstration outside the Egyptian embassy in Dublin this afternoon.

The group – made up of both Irish and Egyptian demonstrators – are demanding the release of the Halawa siblings from a prison in Cairo.

The four Irish citizens were detained after taking refuge in a mosque during the violence in the Egyptian capital last Friday.

It’s reported that they will appear in court in Egypt this afternoon.
