Calls have been made in Clare for the enforcement of by-laws that place restrictions on the height of headstones and grave kerbing in the countys cemeteries.

Clares residents are being urged to adhere to the by-laws in place or face prosecution.
Local representatives have raised the issue insisting not everyone is complying with 4 to 5 feet restriction for gravestones.
Ennis Indepedent Cllr Michael Guilfoyle maintains there is good reason behind these rules and regulations.
