Brexit Deal Can Be Struck But Clock Is Ticking – Carey

A Clare Fine Gael TD is hopeful that a Brexit deal can still be reached but says the ball is firmly in the UK court and the clock is ticking.

It follows this morning’s bilateral meeting of Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson in Dublin, in which both leaders outlined their stance.

The Taoiseach says he has yet to see any proposals to end the Brexit impasse, despite the PM saying he has an abundance of them.

However, the were both in agreement that a deal at next month’s EU summit is the optimum outcome.
