Plans To Revamp Holy Island To Be Adopted Today

Holy Island in East Clare is set for a major revamp once a plan on its future is adopted today.

The Lough Derg island is a renowned ecclesiastical site dating back centuries and was brought into public ownership in 2015.

The final plan, which includes an tourist centre in Mountshannon as well as increased boat services, was positively received by the local community last week.
