West Clare could be home to the “nicest ballroom in the Country” following new planning request.
TIGL Ireland Enterprises Ltd is seeking to permission to build a grand ballroom at Donald Trump’s Doonbeg resort.
The application was submitted to Clare County Council just before Christmas, on December 22nd.
The development would involve the construction of a new single-storey ballroom building and is said to “support and enhance the hotel’s event, tourism, and hospitality offering.”
The proposal includes the demolition of the existing event marquee and Doughmore House.
The construction would also involve the reconfiguration and extension of the existing car parking area to serve 86 spaces.
Clare County Council is due to make a ruling by February 24th.
