Irish Water is to unveil plans to develop a new wastewater treatment scheme in Liscannor this evening.
The project is to end the discharge of the equivalent of 1,500 wheelie bins of untreated wastewater into Liscannor Bay daily.

Irish Water expects to lodge a planning application for the scheme with Clare County Council in the coming months with a view to beginning construction in the latter part of 2019.
A drop-in information evening is being held from 5pm to 7.30pm in Liscannor Community Centre tonight to allow members of the public to see the plans.
