Planning permission is being sought to turn the site which had been earmarked for an NCT centre in Shannon into an educational facility.
Last month, the National Car Testing Service (NCTS) confirmed the development of a centre in Shannon has been halted ‘due to significant contractual difficulties’.

This was despite confirmation previously being given to Clare Independent TD Michael McNamara that works were near to completion.
Brian Marrinan Construction Ltd have now applied for a change of use for the site to provide health and safety training for Work Safe Training Systems Ltd.
