There’s good news for Burren farmers as they secure ongoing funding for the conservation programme in North Clare.
Payments totalling 948,000 euro have been issued to 147 farmers under the scheme which brings the total allocation for participating farmers to over 2.8 million over the three years of the Scheme.

Last month representatives from Burren Life and local IFA representatives made a presentation to the Dail outlining the importance of the scheme amid fears funding would be lost under the new CAP deal.
