The Patron of Ennis National School is condemning the behaviour of those resposible for a fire at the old school on the Kilrush Road, saying their actions were "mindless" and "pointless".

Fr Tom Hogan says considerable damage was caused to the property overnight, which he believes would have required intense physical strenghth.
Emergency services were alerted to the fire in the old sports complex around 11.30pm and fire crews battled the blaze for just over an hour.
Fr Hogan has told Clare FM that vandalism at the site has become a serious issue.
