Clare’s Fianna Fail TD says the community in Parteen is ‘relieved’ following a decision to decommission a controversial wind turbine in the village.
The local authority has ordered the move, with the structure having initially been given permission over a decade ago.
There are a number of homes located close to the where the turbine is, with a number of local residents having launched a campaign against it when it was recently erected.
