It’s claimed Loop Head can be the beacon that drives tourist traffic to other remote attractions in the county.
A new report commissioned by Irish Lights, the Irish lighthouse authority, shows that over 22,000 people visited Loop Head last year.

12,300 tickets were sold to access the west Clare amenity, forming part of an annual income of €33 million generated by Irish lighthouses.
Assistant Sales & Marketing Manager, Clare Tourism West, Sharon Malone, says increased footfall to Loop Head is greatly benefitting local communities.
