Number Of PUP Claimants In Clare At One Of Lowest Levels Since Beginning Of Pandemic

The number of people claiming the Pandemic Unemployment Payment in Clare is at one of its lowest levels since COVID-19 first emerged.

4,278 claims were registered by the Department of Social Protection in this county this week – the lowest level in nearly ten months.

It’s a drop of 250 people in the last seven days, and a 70 percent drop of the peak of 14,869 claimants here.
