No Support For Calls For Public Halloween Bonfire In Ennis

Calls for a single public bonfire in Ennis this Halloween have been shot down.

Ennis Councillor Mary Howard believes holding a major public event in the town to mark the festivities would discourage people from lighting dangerous, unmanned fires and help reduce the number of incidents that traditionally occur.

Her proposal has failed to garner support from other members of the council, but Fine Gael Cllr Howard says she will continue to push it.
