No New COVID-19 Cases In Clare For Sixth Day As National Death Toll Rises By 9

The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has today been informed that a total of 9 people with COVID-19 have died.

It brings to 1,691, the total number of COVID-19 related deaths in Ireland.

The HPSC has been notified of 9 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 1 case being denotified, bringing the country’s total to 25,215.

There have been no new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Clare for the sixth day in a row, leaving the county’s total at 368.

Dr. Tony Holohan, Chief Medical Officer, Department of Health, said; “While today we report 9 new cases and the situation continues to improve in both Ireland and across Europe, the World Health Organisation has noted that now is not the time to ‘take the foot off the pedal’ and that countries need to continue to work hard to avoid complacency and promote solidarity.”
