The Sinn Fein President insists there’s no fair rationale for excluding Clare affected by pyrite from the redress scheme for defective blocks.
The Defective Concrete Block Scheme is currently only open to homeowners in Donegal and Mayo, despite the fact that at least 50 homes and two council housing estates in Clare are believed to be affected.
Mary Lou McDonald visited a home in the county yesterday to witness the situation first hand and meet with members of the Clare Pyrite Action Group, who are campaigning for the scheme to be extended to this county.
