Irish Water says it’s continuing to face a significant challenge in providing supply to parts of North Clare.
It comes as a nationwide hosepipe ban comes into force from tomorrow, meaning households across Clare will also be banned from using water for non-essential activities, with those caught flouting the rules facing prosecution or a fine.
Thousands of gallons of water is being tankered into Kilfenora and Ballyvaughan from as far away as Oranmore and Kinvara, as part of efforts to restore supply.
But Operations Lead for Clare, Duane O’Brien has been telling Clare FM’s Fiona Cahill that there’s no end in sight yet:
Met Eireann has forecast an increase in temperatures over the weekend and into next week.
Sunday and Monday are expected to be the warmest days when temperatures climb to 28 or 29 degrees.
