No Doubt That Clare Farmers Will Welcome Measures In CAP Programme Says Agri Minister

The Minister for Agriculture says he has “no doubt” that farmers in Clare will welcome a number of measures contained in the CAP programme for the next seven years.

It follows comments by the IFA President, who’s hit out over what he’s described as Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael rolling over on the CAP Strategic Plan, allowing the Greens to run riot with an ‘Alice in Wonderland’ version of rural Ireland.

Minister Charlie McConalogue has dismissed this saying an unprecendented financial package has been announced which will back rural Ireland and family incomes over the coming years.
