A Newmarket-on-Fergus academic fears an escalation of the Israeli assault on Gaza could result from the US’s wholehearted support of Netanyu’s government.
Approximately 50 aid trucks have arrived in Gaza through Egypt which has been deemed entirely insufficient by aid agencies.
Israel’s bombardment of the region has continued overnight with an estimated 5,000 people having lost their lives since Hamas militants’ attack on Southern Israel on the 7th of October.
