Large crowds are expected to gather in Miltown Malbay this morning for the funeral of traditional music great Muiris O Rócháin .
Muiris is best known as the founder of Scoil Samhraidh Willie Clancy, and colleagues say his passing has left a tremendous legacy in Irish culture.

Muiris O Rócháin is survived by his wife Una, his son Seamus and daughter Maire.
He will be laid to rest in Moy Cemetery today following funeral mass at Saint Joseph’s Church, Miltown Malbay at 11:00.
