Clare could be in line for a significant jobs boost, with the opening of a motorway service station.

It's reported in the Clare Champion newspaper that Pat McDonagh, head of the Supermacs chain of fast food outlets, has lodged an application to develop a service area and rest area at Kilbreckan, Doora on Junction 12 on the M18 Limerick-Galway motorway.
The move could lead to the creation of 100 jobs, and the development would be similar to the Barack Obama Plaza built near Moneygall, Co. Offaly.
