More Than 100 Patients On Trolleys At UHL For Second Day Running

University Hospital Limerick remains by far the most overcrowded facility in the country.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation recorded 102 patients at the MidWest region’s main hospital during this morning’s rounds.

39 patients were documented in the Emergency Department, with a further 63 noted on wards elsewhere in the hospital.

Cork and Sligo University Hospitals are the next most overcrowded facilities in the country today with 52 and 47 patients counted by the INMO.
