Moran Says Affordable Housing Must Be The Priority In Clare

A Clare Sinn Fein representative claims problems within the rental sector won’t be solved until the social housing crisis is dealt with.

The party has criticised successive Governments, saying Clare families are suffering because of a legacy of failure.

It follows the release of two reports this week, which show a 12% rise in the cost of renting a home in the county year-on-year, while only 9% of houses nationally, fall into reach of the Housing Assistance Payment scheme.
