Midwest Public Health Specialist Says Caution Needed Should COVID Isolation Period Be Cut

A specialist in public health in this region says serious caution is needed about the possibility of cutting the amount of time someone with a positive COVID-19 test has to isolate.

It’s understood the Government’s currently considering changing the 7-day rule as staff shortages increase for employers during the latest wave of the virus.

2,154 cases of the disease have been confirmed in Clare over the last 14 days.
