Mick Wallace has been elected an MEP for Ireland South.

The Independents4Change candidate secured the third seat in the constituency after Liadh Ni Riada’s papers were distributed.

Mick Wallace’s surplus of 19,674 votes will now be distributed, with Fine Gael’s Deirdre Clune and the Green Party’s Grace O’Sullivan looking to secure the 4th seat in the constituency.

The candidate who secures the fifth seat, will have to wait for Britain to leave the EU in order to take up the final seat.
