Met Eireann Advising Clare Public To Remain Vigilant With Weather Forecasts

Met Eireann is indicating that a heavy rainfall warning may be on course for Clare in the coming days, although its too early to speculate if another extended wet spell is in store.

Ireland experienced its wettest July on record last month with 155mm of rainfall recorded at Shannon Airport’s weather station alone, breaking a 77-year record at the Clare weather station.

The events of July were in stark contrast to the previous month when the radar at Shannon recorded the county’s hottest June on record, with average daily temperatures of 17 degrees.
