Meeting Hears It Could Take Decades To Restore North Clare River Following Fish Kill

A spokesperson for the Inagh River Catchment Association says it could take “potentially decades” to restore the Ballymacraven River after the recent fish kill.

A meeting has taken place in the Fall’s Hotel Ennistymon to discuss a community response to an incident, which resulted in up to 2,000 fish being killed.

An investigation is ongoing with Inland Fisheries Ireland confirming that a number of people have already been “interviewed under caution”.
