Clare’s Sinn Fein TD believes medical card holders in this county need an alternative dental care plan to the one currently in place here.
It comes after it was revealed Clare saw a 46 percent drop in funding for the Dental Treatment Services Scheme between 2017 and last year – one of the highest falls in the country.
Access to dental care in this county continues to be difficult, with only a handful of dentists in Clare now understood to be continuing in the scheme currently.
