Mayor Of Clare Says Shannon Heritage Site Transfer To Council Now ‘Imminent’

The Mayor of Clare believes the transfer of three Shannon Heritage sites to the management of Clare County Council is now ‘imminent’.

The local authority remains in negotiations with the Government about the transfer of Bunratty Castle & Folk Park, Knappogue Castle and Craggaunowen to its portfolio, which have been ongoing for a number of months.

King John’s Castle was officially transferred to the management of Limerick City and County Council from Shannon Group earlier this week.
