The Sinn Féin leader is expressing hope of a strong result for her party in Clare in this May’s local elections.
The republican party is fielding five candidates this time out – sitting Shannon councillor Mike McKee and Seán Naughten in Killaloe on the East of the county.
While Donna McGettigan is running in the Ennis Municipal District, Violet-Anne Wynne is seeking a seat in Kilrush and North Clare’s Noeleen Moran has also thrown her hat into the ring.
