Manhunt Launched Following Violent Burglary In Galway

A manhunt has been launched for three men believed to have been involved in a violent burglary in Tuam county Galway. 

The incident on Tuesday has left a family of four shaken.

At about 7.30 on Tuesday evening a couple both in their thirties and their two young children returned to their home at Parkwest in Clonberne Tuam when three men entered their house. 

The men – described as thinly built Eastern Europeans – assaulted the couple – leaving them with non life threatening injuries.

The men are said to be between five foot eight and six foot tall. 

They made off with some cash and phones. 

The youngsters were not physically hurt but are said to be traumatised following the attack.
