The manager of a recently reopened Clare pub says his establishment is closer to a “community centre” than just somewhere to get a pint.
After having its doors closed for three months, the Pumphouse in Kilmurry is open once again under new management.

The pub is now being run by Meath native Bernard Farrelly who’s been living in Clare for 40 years and has refurbished the business with the help of friends and neighbours.
He says it was missing from the area.
