A young man remains in a serious condition in hospital following a road crash in East Clare this morning.
The single car collision happened on the O’Briens Bridge to Killaloe Road shortly after 4 o’clock this morning.

A man in his twenties was among five occupants of the car – he was taken to University Hospital Limerick, where he’s being treated for serious injuries.
The road was closed for a time to facilitate a forensic examination but has since re-opened.
