A man has been hospitalised following an assault at a service station in Clarecastle this morning.
At 11.40am this morning, the man entered the forecourt of the Maxol Station, when another car pulled in behind him.
An individual, armed with a number of weapons, chased the man into the shop where he then proceeded to assault the victim.

The man was taken to University Hospital Limerick with non life-threatening injuries.
