A man has been charged with the murder of Samantha Walsh in Waterford.
28-year-old Danny Whelan, of no fixed abode but originally from Thurles in Co Tipperary, was brought before Waterford district court this morning.

Samantha Walsh was found dead in her apartment on Thomas Street in Waterford city on Friday.
A post-mortem examination conducted over the weekend confirmed she had suffered an assault.
Mr Whelan has been remanded in custody until next Monday when he’s due before the courts.
He has been granted free legal aid and the Judge has ordered that he receive all medical or psychological treatment deemed necessary.
