A man in his 30s is due in court today in connection with an assault in Ennis which has left a woman in hospital with serious injuries.
The incident occurred in the Market area of the town on Thursday evening after 6pm.

The woman, aged in her late twenties, was taken to University Hospital Limerick where she continues to receive treatment.
The man is due in a special sitting of Ennis District Court at 4pm.
