96 people died at Sheffield Wednesday’s football ground in 1989.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission says alleged changes to police statements from the time could lead to criminal charges.

A large number of current and former officers will be investigated – including West Yorkshire Police chief Sir Norman Bettison.
