LRC Talks Resume Between Aer Lingus and IMPACT

Talks aimed at saving the Aer Lingus cabin crew base at Shannon Airport resume at the Labour Relations Commission today.

Represenatatives of the airline began discussions with the IMPACT Trade Union, which represents the 86 cabin crew staff employed at the facility, following on from the decision to close the base.

This saw cabin crew workers at Shannon, Cork and Dublin Airports vote overwhelmingly in favour of industrial action, which could ground some of the former flag carrier’s fleet in the run-up to Christmas.

Both sides entered into talks on Friday, which continuted on Saturday but were then adjourned until today.
